Art Knapp Surrey

Art Knapp was happy with the last version of their site, however It lacked some things they found they needed later. The biggest issue was the navigation. It because confused with over 14 different departments. Another issue was that switching departments required going back to the main page of the site. In this version, I focused on making the navigation more accessible, while at the same time giving a clear indication as to which department you are currently visiting. The design includes static page templates, a post loop and catalog loop template with a customizable title per loop page (you can have more than one), plus a category filter (you can choose a post category to use). I also wrote an extensive library for collecting information across the blogs and displaying it various ways. some examples are; tt_blog_list() which returns a list of the blogs in the MU network. It optionally will supply the lists as links to each blog, and/or accompanied with each blogs tagline. another example is tt_latest_posts() which will return the latest posts across all the blogs. Optionally you can limit the number of posts, or strip images and limit the body content, this library has a number of options in the theme’s custom control panel. The site’s footer’s four columns are completely editable and can be changed in the theme’s custom control panel.
